This month’s honoree is Brigette Haley. Brigette entered foster care halfway through high school and went on to attend college at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. After completing her Bachelor's degree in Business, she attended Graduate school and obtained a Master's degree in Accounting. Typically only two percent of foster youth in Wisconsin complete college and only half of one percent of foster youth complete advanced degrees. This prompted Brigette to create a fundraiser to raise awareness about youth in foster care. In 2010, with the help of Kids Matter, Inc.
