Sacramento's Josh Donaldson delivered a walk-off blast in the 10th as Omaha lost the opener of an eight-game road swing. All three Omaha runs came in the third. Derrick Robinson doubled home a pair and later scored on Johnny Giavotella's single. Sacramento scored in the fourth, sixth, eighth and tenth. Sean O'Sullivan limited the River Cats to a run on four hits over 4.0 innings in a spot start. David Lough was 0-for-4, snapping his 17-game hitting streak.

NW Arkansas Naturals (16-16)

The Naturals were denied in a bid for a four-game sweep. Greg Holland made his first rehab appearance as he recovers from a left rib stress reaction, allowing an unearned run on a single, wild pitch and passed ball in 1.0 IP. Wil Myers homered for the fourth straight contest to extend his hitting streak to 15 games. The Naturals will enjoy an off day at home on Wednesday before opening a four-game set vs. the Springfield Cardinals.

Wilmington lost at home as Lynchburg scored five in the fifth and five in the sixth. The Blue Rocks made five errors and allowed seven unearned runs. Tyler Sample (5.1 IP, 9 H, 8 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 5 SO) took the loss. Whit Merrifield led the offense with three hits and two runs scored. He is batting .350 (14-for-40) over his last 10 games and .386 (17-for-44) in home contests.

Kane County earned a 2-2 split at Beloit. Edwin Carl scattered five hits and two walks over 5.0 scoreless frames. His ERA stands at 1.69 (7 ER in 37.1 IP). Justin Trapp went 3-for-4 with a run scored to extend his hitting streak to 10 games (.308, 12-for-39). Orlando Calixte and Runey Davis hit solo homers for Kane County.
