White Sox announce series activities vs. Cleveland

WHAT: Chicago White Sox promotional highlights, giveaways and ceremonial first pitches this week's home series vs. Cleveland.  Tickets are now available at whitesox.com, the U.S. Cellular Field Ticket Office and all Ticketmaster locations.

Tuesday's game will be televised on WCIU-TV, while Wednesday's game will be televised on Comcast SportsNet Chicago.  WCIU-TV and MLB Network will air the final game of the series.  All three games will be broadcast on WSCR-AM 670 (The Score), the White Sox flagship radio station, and 97.5 FM ESPN Deportes, the White Sox Spanish-language radio affiliate.

National Anthem by former Broadway performer Laurie Akers
Ceremonial first pitch by Marco Pappa, Chicago Fire
Marco Pappa, Chicago Fire midfielder and member of the Guatemala national team, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Laurie Akers, a Broadway veteran, will perform the National Anthem.

The first 20,000 fans in attendance will receive a MLB Network drawstring bag.

Wednesday, May 2, 7:10 p.m. vs. Cleveland
National Anthem by Liberty Junior High School
The choir at Liberty Junior High School of New Lenox, Ill. will perform the National Anthem.

Thursday, May 3, 7:10 p.m. vs. Cleveland
Cinco de Mayo Celebration, presented by Miller Lite
National Anthem by Mariachi Monumental De Mexico
Ceremonial first pitch by Daniella Guzman, WMAQ-TV
Hero of the Game, Michael Donley, United States Air Force
Daniella Guzman, co-anchor of NBC Chicago's morning news, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

Mariachi Monumental De Mexico will perform the National Anthem.

Cinco de Mayo Celebration activities begin at 4:30 p.m. Quebradita Dancers will perform modern-day dances native to Northern Mexico outside Gate 4, while Joe Rendon Salsa Con Soul will play tropical rhythms outside Gate 5.  All draft beer at the Miller Lite Bullpen Sports Bar will be discounted $1 prior to the first pitch.  Fans can purchase festive attire at the Cinco de Mayo Party Shop near the Gate 4 stage prior to the game and on the 100 level concourse until the 4th inning.  Mariachi Zapopan, one of Chicago's most talented mariachi groups, will perform with a folkloric dance ensemble on-field before the anthem.

Michael Donley, the 22nd Secretary of the United States Air Force, will be recognized as the Hero of the Game.
