Homestand Preview: Brewers begin nine-game homestand tomorrow

MILWAUKEE, WI – Following an off day today, the Milwaukee Brewers return to action tomorrow evening with the start of a nine-game homestand at Miller Park, beginning with a three-game set against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The Brewers will also welcome the Colorado Rockies and Houston Astros to Miller Park.  The homestand features half-price tickets in most categories as part of the 5-County, 5-Day Celebration over the first five games from Tuesday, April 17 – Saturday, April 21, along with a Jonathan Lucroy bobblehead giveaway, presented by Kwik Trip on Sunday, April 22.

Brewers Community Foundation Drive for Charity: Brewers Community Foundation invites fans to drop off any new full-size toiletry items during the Brewers Community Foundation Drive for Charity. Community Achievers: The Milwaukee Brewers community involvement initiative known as the Community Achievers Award will recognize residents throughout the state of Wisconsin each month during the season for displaying extraordinary efforts in their community. All adults and school-aged children in the state are eligible to participate. Fans can nominate their Community Achiever online at The month of April honoree is Terri Schroeder. Terri has volunteered for over 30 years and she and her husband have donated over 1,000 hours a year to various organizations in Wisconsin. Even as foster parents, Terri finds the time to make hats and blankets that she donates to local hospitals so every newborn can go home with a hat and blanket. In addition, she bakes goods for her church and senior centers in support of their bake sales. Terri will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Monday, April 23.

RBI Athlete of the Month: The RBI program is a MLB youth baseball initiative and partnership with the Boys & Girls Clubs. The program was developed by former scout and Major Leaguer John Young in Los Angeles in 1989 to provide youth ages 9 to 17 the opportunity to learn and enjoy the game of baseball. Each month, the Milwaukee Brewers will honor RBI student athletes on the diamond that portrays dedication to academics, community involvement, leadership, reliability and monthly performance. The month of April honoree his Kyle Spranger, a senior at Racine Park High School. Kyle will throw out the ceremonial first pitch on Tuesday, April 24.
