D-backs RamTrucks.TV pool sold out for entire season

The Arizona Diamondbacks announced today that the RamTrucks.TV pool is sold out for the remainder of the regular season.

"The pool is an exciting and unique feature that we are proud to offer our fans," said D-backs' President & CEO Derrick Hall. "I am happy to announce that the pool was sold out for the entire year, even before the first pitch of the 2012 season was thrown."

The RamTrucks.TV pool is one of the most unique features of any ballpark in America and sits 415 feet from home plate in right-center field. It sits on a pool deck measuring 1,288 square feet and features a hot tub, measuring 460 square feet and holds 8,500 gallons of water. The RamTrucks.TV pool is also host to several in-game activities such as the promo "Fry's - Float or Sink?" in which fans must accurately guess whether an item will float or sink to win great prizes.

The first home run ball to land in the pool was hit by current D-backs broadcaster and then-Cubs first baseman Mark Grace on May 12, 1998, the 38th home game in franchise history. Since then, there have been 40 more homers that have landed in the pool - 21 from the D-backs and 19 from their opponents.

The next D-backs homestand begins on April 16 with tickets starting as low as $8 and can be purchased at dbacks.com, losdbacks.com, at the Chase Field ticket windows or by calling 602.514.8400.
