Royals announce new & extended partnerships for 2012

The Kansas City Royals announced today several new corporate partners for the upcoming season, in addition to partnership extensions with several current Royals sponsors, as the club heads into the 2012 season.

"The combination of hosting the upcoming MLB All-Star Game and the enthusiasm surrounding our roster of young, homegrown talent has allowed us to grow our corporate partnership base," said Michael Bucek, Royals Vice President-Marketing & Business Development.  "We look forward to having them on board for what promises to be a memorable season of Royals baseball."

Time Warner Cable:  Time Warner Cable is the new Official TV, Internet and Home Phone Provider of the Royals.  As part of the partnership, Time Warner Cable will receive in-stadium, radio and print exposure along with access to television content of the team, facility and events throughout the year.  For special discounted rates for Time Warner Cable, customers may visit
Boulevard Brewing Company:  Boulevard Brewing Company, the Midwest's home for fine ales and lagers since 1989, will be the presenting sponsor of the signature Diamond Club's "Boulevard Pub" and will also sponsor two "Boulevard Bar & Grill" locations in the outfield.  In addition, Boulevard will be the presenting sponsor of the Royals Radio Network Post Game Show.
H&R Block:  H&R Block, with its world headquarters in Kansas City, Mo., is now the Official Tax Service Partner of the Kansas City Royals.  In addition to in-park branding elements, H&R Block will feature its "Second Look" product through a variety of in-game features focused on great moments in Royals history.
Hollywood Casino:  The Royals have also added Hollywood Casino, Kansas City's newest casino and entertainment venue, as a corporate partner in 2012.  In addition to radio and in-park exposure, Hollywood Casino's partnership includes game-watching parties at the Turn 2 Sports Bar where fans will have the opportunity meet a member of the Royals Alumni while enjoying a Royals road game.  More details on these events will be announced in the coming weeks. 
KC Hopps:  Kansas City's own local restaurateur KC Hopps will now be serving from the Blue Moose concession stand located in right field.  The Blue Moose stand will feature a new Blue Moose concept offering several types of sausages for fans to enjoy at the ballpark.
Papa John's:  Papa John's is the new Official Pizza of the Royals.  With this partnership, fans will be able to enjoy Papa John's pizza at Kauffman Stadium on game days.  Additionally, Papa John's will be offering discounts on pizza at its locations throughout greater Kansas City the day after the Royals win and score five or more runs. 
Taco Bell:  Taco Bell's partnership includes title sponsorship of the Taco Bell - Royals 4 for $44 ticket package.  Fans purchasing this package receive four Royals tickets, hats and Taco Bell combo meals.  Visit for more details.
United Airlines:  United Airlines will have a significant presence inside the ballpark as part of a multi-year agreement, highlighted by static LED board signage in right field.
Pittcraft Printing:  With a new multi-year agreement, Pittcraft Printing will be recognized as the Official Printer of the Royals.  Pittcraft, a family-owned and operated business based in Pittsburg, Kan., with a local office in Olathe, Kan., will receive in-park recognition and other promotional assets.  In addition, the company will print the Royals Baseball Insider magazine and other promotional pieces throughout the year.

In addition to these new partnerships, the club is proud to continue relationships with several other long-time Royals corporate partners.
Anheuser-Busch:  Anheuser-Busch and the Royals will unveil the new Budweiser Patio atop Rivals Sports Bar on Opening Day.  The Budweiser Patio, which is available for group outings, features a new awning to protect fans from the sun and elements throughout the season.  In addition, Anheuser-Busch is producing Royals-branded aluminum cans and bottles that will be available at local retailers throughout 2012.  (photo attached)
Assurant:  A long-time partner of the Royals, Assurant has now entered into a new partnership that includes in-park LED board advertising and sponsorship of select community relations programs in 2012.
Chevrolet:  Chevrolet and the Kansas City Area Chevy Dealers have significantly expanded their partnership with the Royals for 2012.  In addition to vehicle displays, promotions, and signage around the ballpark, Royals Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas will be featured spokesmen in Chevrolet's local advertising campaigns set to launch this summer.
Commerce Bank: Commerce Bank will continue its long-term relationship with the Royals.  Throughout the year, Commerce will continue to roll out new designs for the Royals affinity credit card that offers Royals fans once in a lifetime experiences at Kauffman Stadium.
John Deere:  John Deere, an innovator in agriculture and turf products for nearly 175 years, returns as the Official Turf Equipment Provider of the Royals.  As such, John Deere will continue to provide landscaping equipment for the Kauffman Stadium playing field and grounds.   
MillerCoors:  MillerCoors will continue to have a significant presence in the ballpark, highlighted by the Miller Lite Fountain Bar in left field. In addition, Miller's partnership will include a variety of in-market promotions, including a "Flyaway to Boston" sweepstakes this summer, where winners will have the chance to see the Royals and Red Sox play at Fenway Park.
Missouri Lottery:  The Missouri Lottery has renewed its partnership with the Royals for the 2012 season.  In addition to marketing assets, the Lottery will sponsor the Stars of the Classroom teacher recognition program.  Royals fans will also be able to purchase scratch-off tickets at Kauffman Stadium on game days. 
Waddell & Reed/Ivy Funds:  Waddell & Reed has expanded the presence of its Ivy Funds brand inside the ballpark for 2012.  In addition to signage at home plate and in the left field fountains, Ivy Funds will be prominently displayed in a new location in Kauffman Stadium's outfield.
