Opening Day sold out

SAN DIEGO – The San Diego Padres announced today that Opening Day against the Los Angeles Dodgers is sold out, with the exception of a limited number of scattered single seats.

First pitch on Thursday, April 5 is set for 4:05 p.m., with the Opening Day pregame ceremony scheduled to begin at approximately 3:30 p.m. Park at the Park opens at 1:35 p.m. and main gates open to all fans at 2:05 p.m. All fans in attendance will receive an Opening Day t-shirt presented by Sycuan. In addition, the first 25,000 fans through the gates will receive a 2012 schedule cling and SD decal presented by Aladdin Bail Bonds. Additional information surrounding Opening Day festivities, game details and transportation recommendations will be released next week.

The entire opening weekend series against the Dodgers promises to be full of rivalry and excitement. Tickets for the additional three opening weekend matchups are selling fast. Fans who attend Friday’s 7:05 p.m. game will be treated to a postgame fireworks show.

Before regular-season action gets underway, the Padres will play host to the Kansas City Royals for an exhibition game at Petco Park on Tuesday, April 3 at 7:05 p.m. Tickets for the exhibition game and all 80 remaining regular-season home games can be purchased at the Petco Park box office, online at www.padres.com, by phone at 619.795.5555 and at the Padres Store in Tijuana.
