Braves 2012 promotions include fireworks, live music and more

Fans coming out to Turner Field in 2012 to watch Chipper Jones, Brian McCann, Dan Uggla, Freddie Freeman, Jason Heyward, and one of the best pitching staffs in Major League Baseball, will also be treated to a packed promotional schedule featuring 13 Publix Friday Night Fireworks displays, live pregame music in Fan Plaza on Saturdays, Alumni Autographs and Kids Run the Bases every Sunday, and free giveaways throughout the season that will have fans lining up early at the gates.

  • Braves Alumni Weekend is set for June 8-10, when fan favorites from days gone by will return to Atlanta from all across the country for a weekend of activities including alumni autographs throughout the weekend and the Braves Legends Game before the Braves take on the Blue Jays on Saturday at 4:00.
  • Celebrating “The Slide” on Saturday, June 9th - Twenty years ago, during Game 7 of the NLCS, “Sid Slid,” scoring the winning run in an improbable come from behind victory that sent the Braves back to the World Series, and the team will commemorate the historic moment with a “Sid Slides” bobblehead, presented by Delta Air Lines and Coca-Cola, for the first 20,000 fans on Saturday, June 9.  In a very special pregame ceremony that night the Braves will remember “The Slide” and honor those involved in the iconic moment in Braves history.
  • Other bobbleheads in the 2012 giveaway lineup include a Craig Kimbrel 2011 Rookie of the Year doll presented by Delta Air Lines on June 13 for the first 20,000 fans, and a Chipper Jones Bobblehead presented by Coca-Cola on August 16 for the first 20,000 fans. 
  • Postgame Concert Series presented by Delta Air Lines and Coca-Cola – Free postgame concerts in 2012 include Scotty McCreery on Saturday, May 26 after the Braves-Nationals 4:00 p.m. game and Lynyrd Skynyrd following the Braves-Phillies match up on Saturday, September 1 at 4:00 p.m. Additional concert dates to be announced.
  • Other free giveaways include foam tomahawks presented by Academy Sports + Outdoors for the first 45,000 on Opening Night, April 13; Magnetic schedules for the first 45,000 fans on April 13 and April 14 of Opening Weekend; a Braves cap from NAPA on June 11 for the first 20,000 fans, and a Tim Hudson Home Alternate T-shirt presented by AT&T for the first 10,000 fans on July 27th.
  • Fans will want to mark their calendars for special holidays this summer too, as the Braves play at home on Memorial Day, Monday, May 28, a 1:05 p.m. game vs. the Cardinals; the 4th of July, in a 7:10 p.m. match up with the Chicago Cubs; Father’s Day on June 17, a 1:30 game vs. the Baltimore Orioles, and Labor Day, September 3, a 1:05 p.m. game vs. the Rockies.
  • Savings throughout the year include eight “Buck Belue $8 Buck Nights” featuring savings of up to 73%, $1 Skyline Seats available at the Braves Ticket Office 2.5 hours before every game, and Coca-Cola Two for $30 Tuesdays, featuring savings of up to 57% on prime lower level and club pavilion seats.
