Comcast SportsNet and the Giants Present Free Season Opener Viewing Party

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (March 26, 2012) – Comcast SportsNet Bay Area, the home of “Authentic Bay Area Sports,” and the San Francisco Giants invite all Bay Area sports fans to “Authentic Opening Day,” a viewing party at AT&T Park on Friday, April 6 as the Giants open their 2012 season on the road against the Arizona Diamondbacks led by two-time NL Cy Young Award winner Tim Lincecum on the mound.
 
The party begins at 3 p.m. with a special one-hour Giants Pregame Live. The program will be shown live on the AT&T Park HD DiamondVision scoreboard and feature live coverage between the festivities at AT&T Park and Chase Field in Arizona. The pregame show will be followed by the live telecast of the Giants’ 2012 season opener from Arizona.
 
The event is free to the public, and fans can enter at the Willie Mays Plaza gates.  The first 5,000 fans will receive free hot dogs and the first 3,000 fans will receive a free Comcast SportsNet “Authentic Giants Fan” foam finger.
 
As part of the “Authentic Opening Day” viewing party, San Francisco Mayor Ed Lee will host 150 kids from Compass Family Services, De Marillac Academy and Hamilton Family Center.
