Jones left during the seventh inning of the Braves' 11-4 win after being hit above the right ankle by Mets reliever Scott Schoeneweis. Jones' shin was swollen after the game, and pitcher Tim Hudson joked with Jones that he had been put out of the game by a curveball.
After being hit, Jones hobbled around near the Braves' dugout before heading into the clubhouse with a trainer.
"I couldn't put any weight on it at the beginning," Jones said. "But I'm sure it will feel better tomorrow."
Jones missed one game last week with a sore right groin, an injury he sustained while swinging at a slider from Phillies reliever Rudy Seanez. He also missed two games earlier this season with back spasms.
Jones, whose .410 batting average leads the Majors, was 1-for-2 with a home run, his 12th of the season.
