Two Minor League Players Suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Toronto Blue Jays Minor League pitcher Mitchell Taylor has received a 50-game suspension after a second violation for a drug of abuse. The suspension of Taylor, who is current on the roster of Bluefield of the rookie-level Appalachian League, will be effective at the start of this season.

Free agent Minor League pitcher Matthew Rusch has received a 50-game suspension after a second violation for a drug of abuse. The suspension of Rusch will be effective immediately upon his signing with a Major League organization.
