“Today was a new beginning for baseball in Miami. The overwhelming interest in Marlins Park and the team itself clearly shows that Miami and all of South Florida are ready to embrace this team and this ballpark as its own,” said David Samson, Miami Marlins President. “We are all looking forward to opening night April 4, when baseball history will be made.”
Fans had the opportunity to meet players, get autographs, walk through and take pictures of the brand new Marlins Park, and select their ticket plan in person for the inaugural Miami Marlins season. FanFest was free and open to the public.
