Two Minor Leaguers suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that New York Mets Minor League catcher Charles “Dock” Doyle and right-handed pitcher Scott Moviel have each received a 50-game suspension after second violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program for a drug of abuse.

The suspensions of Doyle, a member of the Single-A St. Lucie Mets, and Moviel, a member of the Double-A Binghamton Mets, will be effective at the start of this season.
