Brewers announce promotional schedule; tickets on sale Feb. 25

The Milwaukee Brewers today announced the team’s promotional schedule for the 2012 season and set Saturday, February 25 as the date for this year’s Arctic Tailgate party. The Arctic Tailgate marks the beginning of individual ticket sales at Miller Park. Individual game tickets will go on sale at 9 a.m. that day.

There are numerous promotional opportunities on tap as Miller Park promises to once again be the place to be throughout the spring and summer of 2012.

The “5-County, 5-Day Celebration” will take place from April 17-21. During this time, all residents of Milwaukee, Ozaukee, Racine, Washington and Waukesha counties can purchase tickets at a 50% savings on all reserved seats (excluding the Miller Lite Beerpen, All-Inclusive Areas and the $1 Uecker Seats). More great bargains are in store when the Brewers host “Spring Madness” from May 21-23, with all seats regularly priced at $38 and less available at a savings of 50% (excluding the All-Inclusive Areas and $1 Uecker Seats). For these three games against the San Francisco Giants, small Pepsi products and Klement’s hot dogs will be just $1 each.

In addition to the two annual tribute events - Cerveceros Day (June 2 vs. Pittsburgh) and the Negro Leagues Tribute Night (July 28 vs. Washington) - the Brewers will host Italian Heritage Day on Sunday, July 1 against the Arizona Diamondbacks. For these three games, the Brewers will wear special uniform tops, including a “Birraioli” jersey (the Italian translation of “Brewers”) on Italian Heritage Day.

Youth players will want to be in attendance for the popular Little League Night on Monday, June 18 as the Brewers open a series against the Toronto Blue Jays. All Little Leaguers in uniform (registered in advance through local youth leagues) will have the opportunity to parade around the warning track in a pre-game ceremony.

On Saturday, July 28, the 14th Annual Brewers Community Foundation 5K Famous Racing SausagesTMRun/Walk will begin at 8 a.m. for runners (8:15 a.m. for walkers) at the Klement’s Sausage Haus at Miller Park, with all proceeds supporting the programs of Brewers Community Foundation. Participants will receive a t-shirt, Klement’s hot dog, a bottle of Aquafina and a ticket voucher redeemable for one of eight specified regular season games in 2012.

Retro Fridays will be designated for the last home Friday game of every month. They include: April 20 vs. Colorado, May 18 vs. Minnesota, June 29 vs. Arizona, July 27 vs. Washington, August 31 vs. Pittsburgh and September 28 vs. Houston. Kids Autograph Saturdays, which is designated for kids 14 and under, will be held on April 21 vs. Colorado, May 19 vs. Minnesota, June 9 vs. San Diego, July 14 vs. Pittsburgh and August 18 vs. Philadelphia.

TICKETS ON SALE BEGINNING SATURDAY, FEBRUARY 25

Tickets for individual Brewers home games can be purchased starting Saturday, February 25 at 9 a.m. at the Miller Park Box Office, at brewers.com or by calling (414) 902-4000 (or 800-933-7890).

This is the sixth year that the Arctic Tailgate” party will mark the start of individual ticket sales. The Klement’s Famous Racing SausagesTM, Bernie Brewer and Brewers alumni players will also be on hand to greet the fans. The first 2,000 fans in line will receive a hot dog and soda, compliments of Klement’s, Pepsi and Sportservice, as well as an Arctic Tailgate t-shirt. FOX Sports Wisconsin and Newsradio 620 WTMJ will both serve as media sponsors.

Please note the following safety regulations for the Arctic Tailgate. Participants will not be permitted to set camp prior to noon on Thursday, February 23. No hand-made or hand-built shelters shall be permitted. No shelters made of cardboard or wood shall be permitted. Shelters with a footprint greater than 100 square feet are not permitted unless otherwise approved by the Brewers. Miller Park power sources are not available for public use and gas generators are not permitted on the property. Only State-Approved gas/propane heating/grilling units with fuel-valve turn-offs and self-contained charcoal/wood units are permitted; provided, however, that they must be a minimum distance of 25 feet from the building or shelters. Activity and items permitted on the premises are subject to the approval of the Brewers. The Brewers reserve the right to remove any shelter, items, or individuals from the property.                                   

Only a very limited number of tickets for Opening Day will be available at this event (note: Miller Park Box Office will be the only place where fans will be able to purchase individual Opening Day tickets on February 25; no phone or online orders will be accepted). Each fan will be limited to a maximum of four tickets for Opening Day, based on availability. Meanwhile, through Tuesday, February 14, fans can visit brewers.com and register for the opportunity to be selected in an Opening Day opportunity to purchase up to four tickets to Opening Day and up to eight tickets to Gold and Marquee Games at Miller Park this season.

Fans will also be able to purchase parking passes in advance for all home dates at Miller Park including Opening Day.  Advance general parking passes for Opening Day and all other games are priced at $9 with Preferred Parking at $14 per pass.  Bus passes can also be obtained in advance for $35. For Opening Day, there is a purchase limit of two advance parking passes per ticket order. A complete listing of the parking prices is listed below.

The Miller Park Box Office will be open until 5 p.m. on February. 25.  Normal Box Office hours are 9 a.m. – 7 p.m. on Monday – Friday (beginning Monday, February 27), 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Saturday and 11 a.m. – 5 p.m. Sunday.
