ST. PETERSBURG, FL—The Tampa Bay Rays have announced the process for purchasing single-game tickets for 2012 spring training. The Rays begin their fourth spring training season at Charlotte Sports Park in Charlotte County, Fla., on Sunday, March 4 against the Minnesota Twins at 1:05 p.m.
Single-game tickets will go on sale this week, based upon availability, according to the following:
Friday, January 20: Spring training tickets will go on sale online to the general public exclusively at raysbaseball.com at 10 a.m.
Saturday, January 21: Spring training tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. via phone at 888-FAN-RAYS and online at raysbaseball.com, or at:
· Charlotte Sports Park box office
· All Ticketmaster outlets
· Rays Tampa Store at 400 N. Tampa St.
· Tropicana Field box office
Rays Insider subscribers will have the opportunity to participate in a special online pre-sale on Thursday, January 19. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, January 18 at noon. Single-game tickets will range in price from $7 to $27. Spring Training season tickets are available by calling 888-FAN-RAYS or visiting raysbaseball.com, and start at only $272 for the Rays 16-game home schedule.
The first workout day for pitchers is Tuesday, February 21. The first full-squad workout is Sunday, February 26.
