Final schedule of events announced for Sun Life Frozen Fenway 2012
BOSTON, MA — The City of Boston, the Boston Red Sox, and Fenway Sports Management (FSM) today announced the full schedule of hockey and skating events taking place at Fenway Park this winter as part of Sun Life Frozen Fenway 2012. The 16-day ice event will include two of Mayor Menino's free Community Skate Days for residents of the City of Boston, 8 high school hockey games, – including both public and private schools – and 6 men and women's college hockey games.
"Boston is the best sports town in America and the capital of the hockey world," said Mayor Thomas M. Menino. "I am proud that there will be two full days of public skating during Frozen Fenway 2012. This will give families and children the chance to experience the ice, just like their favorite college players. I want to thank the Red Sox, the Hockey East Association, Sun Life Financial and the participating schools for working with the City to create this great event."
