Marlins Receive Two Nominations for Regional Emmy Awards

MIAMI —The exclusive television home of the Marlins, FOX Sports Florida, has been nominated for two regional Emmy Awards granted by The Suncoast Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences (NATAS).

Marlins vs. Nationals - Hispanic Heritage Night

Inside the Marlins: Visiting the Troops


The live telecast of the Marlins vs. Nationals: Hispanic Heritage Night showcased all the special festivities the Marlins prepared as part Hispanic Heritage Night. The primetime show featured interviews with Spanish speaking players, baseball terminology, special guests and music. 


Inside the Marlins: Visiting the Troops gave fans an inside look at the Marlins overseas trip to Southwest Asia and Germany. The 30-minute show chronicled the 9-day journey made by Marlins Team President David Samson, Marlins Special Assistants Jeff Conine and Andre Dawson, Marlins catcher John Buck and Marlins outfielder Logan Morrison to U.S. military forces serving abroad. 


The winners will be announced on Saturday, December 3rd at a private ceremony that will take place at the Westin Beach Resort in Ft. Lauderdale.


The Suncoast Chapter of NATAS offers annual Emmy Awards in the SE region including the entire State of Florida, most of the State of Louisiana, areas of Alabama and Georgia and Puerto Rico.
