His previous Major League coaching stints include time with the Red Sox (2004-09) as bench coach, the Expos (2003) as bench coach and the Phillies (1997-2000) as first base coach. While with Boston, Mills was a part of two World Series Championship teams (2004, 2007). Mills, a 17th-round pick of the Expos in 1979, hit .256 with a home run and 12 RBI in 106 career games in parts of four seasons in the Major Leagues with the Expos (1980-83).
Hamilton began his Hall of Fame radio career as a disc jockey on the Armed Forces Radio Network during Thanksgiving week in 1945. The 2012 season will be his 28th season with the Astros and his 59th year broadcasting Major League Baseball.
Wednesday's Astroline is the first of 18 scheduled shows during its five-month run leading into the 2012 baseball season, and the program is broadcast each Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. The program will move to Florida in March when the Astros report to Spring Training in Kissimmee, FL.
