Two Minor League players suspended

The Office of the Commissioner of Baseball announced today that two Minor League players have been suspended following their violations of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

Toronto Blue Jays Minor League pitcher Luis Peña, who is currently on the roster of the rookie-level Dominican Summer League Blue Jays, has received a 72-game suspension without pay after testing positive for metabolites of Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.

New York Mets Minor League pitcher Jose Sierra, who is currently on the roster of the organization's Gulf Coast League team, has received a 56-game suspension without pay after testing positive for Stanozolol, a performance-enhancing substance in violation of the Minor League Drug Prevention and Treatment Program.
