Brian Kenny Joins MLB Network

MLB Network today announced that Emmy Award-winning sports anchor Brian Kenny has joined its roster of on-air talent. Kenny, a 25-year national TV and radio veteran, will appear across MLB Network's studio programming beginning Monday, September 19.

"Baseball, with its tradition and history, has always been my passion," said Kenny. "I'm so excited to follow baseball all year long and work with the excellent team on MLB Network. I also look forward to helping to bring a level of analysis that baseball fans now demand."

Kenny joins MLB Network from ESPN, where he was most recently anchor of the 6:00 p.m. ET edition of SportsCenter, and host of the Brian Kenny Show on ESPN Radio and Friday Night Fights on ESPN2. Kenny previously served as an ESPN anchor for Baseball Tonight, receiving a Sports Emmy Award in 2003, and called play-by-play for ESPN's Wednesday Night Baseball and the World Baseball Classic, as well as hosting ESPN's coverage of the National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony in Cooperstown, NY. Kenny was named "Media Personality of the Year" by SI.com in 2004, and in 2005 he was the recipient of the Sam Taub Award, given by the Boxing Writers Association of America to its Boxing Broadcaster of the Year.
