Tribe faces Yankees (Aug. 3-6) and Rockies (Aug. 8-9) in six-game homestand at Progressive Field

The Cleveland Indians return to Progressive Field for a six-game homestand against the New York Yankees (August 3-6) and Colorado Rockies (August 8-9).

KLUBER, FRANCONA DRIVE COMMUNITY EVENTS THIS HOMESTAND

As they've done all season, Indians players will drive many community impact events during this homestand.

Those activities include:

  • Edwin's Squad, Thursday: Edwin Encarnacion will play host to a patient from Cleveland Clinic Children's and his or her family prior to Thursday's homestand opener. The patient will receive an Encarnacion jersey and meet Edwin and his teammates.
  • Friends of Francona, Sunday: For the fourth consecutive year, Terry Francona and WTAM will team up with the Cleveland VA Medical Center to provide Club Lounge tickets to select military veterans and their families every Sunday home game. The veterans will receive Indians-branded military caps and T-shirts, as well as an in-game scoreboard message.
  • Kluber's Kids, Wednesday: Corey Kluber and his wife, Amanda, will host a child from Cleveland Clinic Children's. As part of this program, the child and his or her family will watch batting practice on the field, receive Kluber jerseys and watch the game that night from the Club Lounge. On special occasions, guests will watch Kluber throw a bullpen session in the outfield.

Additionally, the Indians annual Celebrity Golf Classic will take place Monday at Quail Hollow Resort in Concord Township; the event is Cleveland Indians Charities' largest fundraiser of the year and features many notable Tribe alumni.
