Troy Tulowitzki, Matt Holliday and Cory Sullivan each had multi-hit games. Diamondbacks at the plate: Chris Young continued his tear through the Cactus League, leading off the first inning with a homer, walking his next time up, lacing an RBI-single to left in his third trip to the plate and eventually scoring, hitting a leadoff double down the left-field line in the seventh and later coming around to score, and walking in eighth, making him a perfect 5-for-5 in getting on base. Conor Jackson, Stephen Drew, Trot Nixon, Mark Reynolds, Jesus Merchan, Trent Oeltjen and Don Kelly also doubled for the D-backs.
Up next for the Rockies: Kip Wells makes his case for a slot in the rotation on Sunday as the Rockies host the Dodgers in the first Cactus League matchup between the two teams.
