Jackson forgets jersey in Tucson

PHOENIX -- Each day the D-backs bring a few pitchers over from their Minor League camp in case they are needed.

Wednesday, they needed Minor League left-hander Evan MacLane's help. Or, at least his jersey.

First baseman Conor Jackson forgot to pack his No. 34 jersey for the trip up from Tucson, Ariz., so he had to borrow the No. 81 jersey with no name on the back.

"Hey, I'm just here to be helpful," MacLane said when asked for the jersey.

Other than it being a size too small, it seemed to work just fine for Jackson, who had the D-backs lone RBI on the afternoon.

"Can I get a piece of tape with 'Jackson' on it put across the back?" he jokingly asked.
