Lillibridge sparks Atlanta's offense

Braves at the plate: Brent Lillibridge hit an RBI double in the third inning and was followed by Jordan Schafer's sacrifice fly. In a four-run fourth, Martin Prado hit a two-run single, and Diory Hernandez hit a two-run home run to center field.

Reds at the plate: In a four-RBI day, Brandon Phillips hit a two-run double in the first inning and scored on Edwin Encarnacion's single. In the third, Phillips hit a solo homer to right field and also added a sacrifice fly in the sixth for nine RBIs over the past two games. Jeff Keppinger hit a sacrifice fly in the fourth, and in the fifth, Javier Valentin hit an RBI double.

Braves on the mound: Starter Buddy Carlyle pitched three innings and allowed four earned runs and six hits without a walk and three strikeouts. Jeff Bennett gave up five runs (three earned) over two innings with three hits and two walks to pick up the loss. Charlie Morton pitched one inning, with four runs allowed (one earned) and four hits.

Reds on the mound: In his third start, Jeremy Affeldt gave up six earned runs, six hits and two walks in 3 1/3 innings. Mike Lincoln pitched 1 2/3 scoreless innings and struck out two. Justin Lehr pitched one scoreless inning with one hit and one strikeout.

Grapefruit League records: Reds 6-5, Braves 6-6.

Up next: Cincinnati righty Matt Belisle will make his third start and Josh Fogg is scheduled to follow on Sunday, when the Reds meet the Rays at 1:05 p.m. ET in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Tim Hudson will start for the Braves vs. the Cardinals at 1:05 p.m. in Jupiter, Fla.
