Marlins at the plate: Hanley Ramirez went 2-for-3 with an RBI, and Tagg Bozied had an RBI and scored a run.

Red Sox at the plate: Chris Carter went 3-for-4, while Jacoby Ellsbury went 3-for-5, including a two-run homer in the ninth.

Marlins on the mound: Right-hander Gaby Hernandez made his first start of the spring, going three scoreless innings, allowing two hits. Brent Sinkbeil hurled two shutout frames, allowing three hits and a walk, striking out three.

Red Sox on the mound: Josh Beckett was forced to miss his first Grapefruit League start with lower back spasms. Manny Delcarmen started in his place, going two scoreless innings, striking out one without allowing a hit or a walk.

Grapefruit League records: Marlins 8-4-1; Red Sox 3-7.

Up next: The Sox face the Dodgers in Vero Beach, Fla., at 1:15 p.m. ET on Sunday. Daisuke Matsuzaka will start, with Esteban Loiaza starting for the Dodgers.

The Marlins host the Orioles on Sunday at 1:05 p.m. ET at Roger Dean Stadium in Jupiter, Fla. Right-hander Ricky Nolasco is scheduled to make this third start of the spring and will be opposed by O's lefty Adam Loewen.
