Billikens at the plate: Tom Pinnell had an RBI single in the first inning, and Casey Moore drove in a run with a second-inning double.

Cardinals at the plate: A 10-run fourth inning put the game out of reach, highlighted by Amaury Marti's pinch-hit grand slam to straightaway center field. Other offensive standouts included Colby Rasmus, who reached base and scored in each of his four plate appearances, and Brian Barton, who homered, singled, walked and scored three times. The game was called in the seventh inning by mutual consent.

Billikens on the mound: It was a rough day for Bills hurlers, but George Hebert managed a scoreless second inning with no walks and one hit allowed.

Cardinals on the mound: Starter Mitchell Boggs was a little rocky, allowing two runs on four hits. But P.J. Walters excelled, tossing two perfect innings with a pair of strikeouts.

Up next: The Cardinals begin Grapefruit League play Thursday with a game at home against the Mets. Anthony Reyes will face John Maine at Roger Dean Stadium with a first pitch time of 12:05 p.m. CT.
