D-backs righty to face Mets on Monday

Godley earns another start in place of Miller

PHOENIX -- Zack Godley will start for the D-backs on Monday against the Mets in his second straight, and third overall, start in place of the injured Shelby Miller.

Godley was outstanding in his last start against the Tigers on Wednesday when he allowed just one run on four hits over seven innings. It seemed curious that after that start, D-backs manager Torey Lovullo did not commit to giving Godley another start.

"There were a few moving parts," Lovullo said. "We wanted to look through some different options. We felt like he was the right guy, he deserved it. He threw the ball extremely well his last start and we look forward to seeing what he can do Monday."
