White Sox-Twins game postponed Wednesday

CHICAGO -- Wednesday night's game between the White Sox and Twins was postponed due to rain.

The game will be made up on Monday, Aug. 21, as part of a straight doubleheader, beginning at 4:10 p.m. CT. The originally scheduled contest will begin at 7:10, or 30 minutes following the conclusion of the opener, but no sooner than the scheduled start time.

Tickets for Wednesday's postponed game are now a gift certificate, and fans should exchange those game tickets and parking coupons for tickets of equal or lesser value to any future regular-season White Sox home game.

All exchanges must be done at the Guaranteed Rate Field box office during regular business hours or by mail. Fans with tickets for Wednesday's game cannot use those tickets for entry on Aug. 21. Fans with tickets for the 7:10 game on Aug. 21 may attend both games of the doubleheader.

CSN Chicago will carry both games of the Aug. 21 doubleheader. WLS-AM 890 and WRTO 1200 AM Univision Radio will broadcast both games.

Derek Holland, who was scheduled to start for the White Sox on Wednesday, will be moved back to face the Twins in Thursday night's series finale. The White Sox will throw Miguel Gonzalez, Dylan Covey and Jose Quintana this weekend against the Padres. Minnesota will move Phil Hughes, Wednesday's starter, back to Thursday night.
