Royals & Fox Sports Kansas City unveil the Raised Royal Fan Express for 2017

An expanded schedule will bring fans from outer markets to enjoy a game at Kauffman Stadium

The Kansas City Royals and FOX Sports Kansas City are once again offering fans across the Midwest the chance to enjoy a game at Kauffman Stadium this season with a grand ride. The "Raised Royal Fan Express presented by FOX Sports Kansas City" now reflects the 2017 Royals slogan and gives fans who follow the Royals on their local Royals Radio Network affiliate and on FOX Sports Kansas City an opportunity to travel to Kansas City and experience the excitement of a game.

Through a contest with select Royals Radio Network affiliates, fans in designated markets will have the opportunity to win a complimentary bus pass, which will allow them to travel to Kauffman Stadium on the Raised Royal branded bus and receive a ticket to the Royals game. Each pass will also include a Royals t-shirt and game program.

"The Raised Royal Fan Express celebrates the great fans that are outside the Kansas City metro area," said David Pokorny, Senior Director of Marketing at FOX Sports Kansas City. "The enthusiasm we see in these areas outside of the Kansas City area means more weekend trips to Royals games, more listeners on the Royals Radio Network and more viewers for televised games."

Approximately two weeks leading up to each designated game, the respective Royals Radio Network affiliate will run a daily contest and listeners will have the opportunity to win passes on the bus. Specific contest details will be announced by the affiliate stations in the following weeks. Each station will receive 20 passes to give out during the promotion.

Along with the slogan change, the bus will also have a new design. As part of the Royals 2017 Raised Royal Mural Program, the Royals partnered with artist Ryan 'ARCY' Christenson to design the bus. Known for his paint splashed style of large scale mural art, 'ARCY' has been defining his skills for more than a decade. ARCY has worked for The Smithsonian Institute, America's National Parks Service and the Walt Disney Hometown Museum. For more on the bus art and other Raised Royal murals around KC, visit
