Goldy, D-backs seeking your All-Star vote

PHOENIX -- Who says this is not a major election year? The polls are open and the stakes are high -- the starting lineups for this year's MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard.

This year's game will be played in Miami on July 11, and the Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot is now online.

VOTE: Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot

The D-backs on the ballot include catcher Jeff Mathis, first baseman Paul Goldschmidt, second baseman Brandon Drury, shortstop Chris Owings, third baseman Jake Lamb and outfielders Yasmany Tomas, A.J. Pollock and David Peralta.

Goldschmidt had his streak of All-Star Game starts come to an end last year, but he was still selected to the National League team for the fourth straight year. Goldschmidt was the team's lone representative.

Pollock made the NL All-Star team in 2015, but he was not on the ballot last year after fracturing his right elbow two days before the start of the season.

Lamb arguably deserved to make last year's team, and he was an Esurance MLB All-Star Game Final Vote candidate, but he lost out to San Francisco's Brandon Belt.

This is the first time that Drury has appeared on a ballot after winning the D-backs' everyday second-base job in Spring Training.
