VOTE: Help send Freeman, Kemp to Classic

ATLANTA -- If Freddie Freeman and Matt Kemp extend the success they had during this season's first month, both might find themselves representing the Braves during this year's Midsummer Classic.

Balloting for the 2017 MLB All-Star Game presented by MasterCard began on Monday. Other Braves joining Freeman and Kemp on this year's ballot include outfielders Ender Inciarte and Nick Markakis, shortstop Dansby Swanson, second baseman Brandon Phillips, catcher Tyler Flowers and third baseman Adonis Garcia. Swanson is the only member of this group appearing on the ballot for the first time.

Fans may cast votes for starters at and all 30 club sites -- on computers, tablets and smartphones -- exclusively online using the 2017 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, June 29, at 11:59 p.m. ET. On smartphones and tablets, fans can also access the ballot via the At Bat and Ballpark mobile apps. Vote up to five times in any 24-hour period for a maximum of 35 ballots cast.

Freeman's on-base streak

After finishing sixth in the balloting for last year's National League Most Valuable Player Award, Freeman has continued to legitimize his place among the game's elite players. The two-time All-Star entered May with MLB's second-best OPS (1.283) and the NL's third-best home run total (9).

Kemp recorded six extra-base hits through this season's first four games and then missed nearly two weeks with a left hamstring strain. But the two-time All-Star got back on track this past weekend, as he recorded his first three-homer performance during Saturday's win over the Brewers.
