Resnick was the third annual winner of the contest sponsored by New York's 529 College Savings Program, which helps families establish plans for future college tuition payments.
"The Kidcaster Contest hits a home run with the Mets' youngest fans: it offers a one-of-a-kind opportunity for kids to show their love for the Mets, their favorite Major League team, and through the contest's affiliation with New York's 529 College Saving Program, it brings attention to the importance of saving for college for the next generation of college students," said Matthew P. McCarthy, head of Vanguard's Education Savings Group, in a press release.
Despite Reyes' blast, the Marlins went on to win.
