Team to watch
Palm Beach is always a nice place to visit, but it's even more true now. The Cardinals will often push hitters past the Florida State level because it can be death to bats, but this year there are eight talented prospects starting the year there. Four are in the Top 15 and all have considerable upside. Triple-A Memphis isn't a bad backup plan, with three of the Top 5 heading to the highest level of the Minors.

New faces
The Cardinals gave outfielder/infielder Randy Arozarena $1.25 million to sign. The Cuban did get some work in the Mexican Winter League, but will be making his organizational debut with Palm Beach in the Florida State League.

On the shelf
The big loss, of course, was Alex Reyes. The top prospect was poised to be a major part of the big league pitching staff, but underwent Tommy John surgery and will miss the season. Right-hander John Gant is also on the disabled list with a right groin injury.
