Facts and figures from the 82nd All-Star Game
PHOENIX -- Facts and figures from the 82nd annual Major League All-Star Game at Chase Field on Tuesday.

• Both teams had gone 29 innings and 208 at-bats without a home run in the All-Star Game before Adrian Gonzalez hit one out with two outs in the fourth inning for the American League. J.D. Drew had the last home run in the seventh inning of the 2008 Midsummer Classic at Yankee Stadium.

• Roy Halladay was the first pitcher to throw two perfect innings since Roger Clemens in 2001. It was the sixth time since 1980 a starting pitcher has begun an All-Star Game with at least two perfect innings.

• The last time teammates followed each other to start an All-Star Game the way Roy Halladay and Cliff Lee did on Tuesday was in 1998, when Braves pitcher Greg Maddux started and went two innings and Tom Glavine relieved in the third.

• Prince Fielder's home run was the first ever by a Brewers player in an All-Star Game. The D-backs are the only team now without a home run in the All-Star Game. It was the first three-run home run in the All-Star Game since Alfonso Soriano in 2004 in Houston.

• Fielder was the first Brewer to ever be named MVP in the All-Star Game. The last first baseman before Fielder to win MVP honors was Fred McGriff in 1994.

• Former heavyweight boxing champion Muhammad Ali and Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald were among the celebrities in attendance.

• This was the first time since the 2004 All-Star Game that the winning team won by more than two runs.

• The National League now leads 345-340 in runs scored over 82 All-Star Games.

• The NL All-Star team has committed an error in five straight games.

• There were 15 hits in the game and no player had more than one. Over the past three All-Star Games, only Mets third baseman David Wright has had a multihit game.

• Angels All-Star second baseman Howard Kendrick turned 28 on Tuesday and Cardinals catcher Yadier Molina turns 29 on Wednesday.

• The NL has won two straight while their pitchers have allowed two runs on 12 hits and four walks with 13 strikeouts.

• The 60 players used set a new record. The old mark was 58 in 2001, '05 and '10.

• Attendance was 47,994 and the time of game was two hours and fifty minutes.
