Rangers agree to terms with 15 players on 2017 contracts

Club has agreements with 35 of the 42 players on the Major League roster or 60-day disabled list

The Texas Rangers today announced that the club has agreed to terms on one-year contracts with the following 15 players:

With these transactions, the club now has 35 of the 42 players on the major league roster or 60-day disabled list under contract for the 2017 season.
MINOR LEAGUE SIGNING: Texas has signed OF/1B Kevin Keyes to a minor league contract, and he will be in minor league camp this spring. An Austin native, Keyes has spent his entire career in the Washington Nationals system, producing a .720 OPS figure over 7 seasons and 730 games in the minor leagues. He combined to bat .204 (66-324) with 12 home runs and 45 RBI in 110 games with Syracuse (AAA) and Harrisburg (AA) in 2016. Keyes was originally selected by the Rangers in the 26th round of the 2007 June draft out of Austin's John R. Connally High School, but elected to attend the University of Texas and was picked by the Nationals in the 7th round of the 2010 June draft.
INTRASQUAD ON FRIDAY: The Rangers are scheduled to play an intrasquad game tomorrow, Friday, February 24 at approximately 1:20 p.m. MT on Nolan Ryan Field in Surprise. The club will begin Cactus League play on Saturday, February 25 against the Kansas City Royals at 1:05 p.m. MT at Surprise Stadium.
