Phils hit road to open Grapefruit slate vs. Yanks

CLEARWATER, Fla. -- The Phillies are one step closer to Opening Day.

They open their Grapefruit League schedule Friday afternoon against the Yankees at George M. Steinbrenner Field in Tampa, Fla. It is the first of 31 Grapefruit League games, with the final one March 31 against the Rays at Spectrum Field.

Here is Friday's lineup:

3. Daniel Nava, DH
4. Tommy Joseph, 1B
5. Chris Coghlan, RF
6. Tyler Goeddel, LF
7. Andrew Knapp, C
8. J.P. Crawford, SS
9. Hector Gomez, 3B

Right-hander Alec Asher will start for the Phillies. Left-hander Adam Morgan will start Saturday's game against the Yankees at Spectrum Field.
