The Miami Marlins today announced the highlights for the 2017 FanFest, presented by Papa John's. The event will take place on Saturday, February 11 and Sunday, February 12 from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. and is free to the public. FanFest, which has expanded to two days this year, features player and alumni autographs, and is the largest select-a-seat opportunity for prospective season ticket holders, as well as the first opportunity fans will have to purchase single-game tickets for the 2017 season. Tickets will go on sale at 10 a.m. at the Marlins Park north ticket office and online at both Marlins.com and MarlinsBeisbol.com.
Fans are encouraged to check in using the MLB.com Ballpark app at FanFest; by doing so, fans will have the chance to win two tickets to the 2017 MLB All-Star Game at Marlins Park. In addition, any guest who purchases a season ticket plan at FanFest will be able to take batting practice in the visitor's batting cages and the chance to skip an autograph line. Plus, this year, fans who purchase a qualifying season ticket plan will guarantee access to purchase All-Star Week ticket strips. Fans can sit and select their seats for the 2017 season through a variety of new season ticket plans.
In addition to the on-sale of Marlins regular season single-game tickets, fans can purchase single-game tickets for the 2017 World Baseball Classic, which will see the United States, Dominican Republic, Colombia and Canada play at Marlins Park on March 9-12. Hometown heroes Giancarlo Stanton, Christian Yelich and A.J. Ellis will suit up for Team U.S.A., and Edinson Vólquez will be a member of Team D.R.
Fish Family Season Ticket Holders, as well as all Marlins email subscribers at Marlins.com/Insider, will receive the ability to purchase single-game tickets ahead of the general public for both the regular season and WBC.
All current full and half Fish Family Season Ticket Holders and group leaders will be invited to exclusive events, including a private autograph session and a special "Around the Horn" Q&A session with President of Baseball Operations, Michael Hill, and Manager Don Mattingly.
There will also be much more fun to be had, including a Kids' Home Run Derby, autograph sessions and photo opportunities with Marlins players and alumni, live music and live broadcasts from the Marlins' flagship radio stations: 940 WINZ (English) and Radio Mambi 710 AM (Spanish), a Sports Card and Memorabilia Show, and activities for the entire family.
