Royals and 610 Sports Radio announce 2017 Spring Training broadcast schedule

The Kansas City Royals and 610 Sports Radio today announced the first 18 broadcasts of what will ultimately be at least 20 spring training games that will air on KCSP-AM. All Spring Training contests will be webcast on, including the games not on 610 Sports Radio. A minimum of two more broadcasts will be added once the NCAA Tournament schedule is released due to 610's commitment to University of Kansas basketball. The 2017 season will mark the 10th consecutive year the Royals can be heard on 610 Sports Radio in Kansas City.

The 2017 spring radio broadcast commitments are as follows:

The Royals and 610 Sports Radio will announce at least two additional radio broadcasts once the University of Kansas has received its schedule for the NCAA basketball tournament in March.

For the 49th consecutive year, Royals Hall of Famer and 2007 Ford Frick Award winner Denny Matthews will call Spring Training play-by-play action and he'll be joined by Ryan Lefebvre, Steve Physioc and Steve Stewart. For the ninth straight year, the exhibition webcasts will be anchored by Stewart.
