Yankees to hold 23rd annual Holiday Food Drive on Wednesday, December 14

Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia among those to join in the festivities

The New York Yankees will continue another great tradition this holiday season with the 23rd annual Yankees Holiday Food Drive, presented by C-Town and Bravo supermarkets and Krasdale Foods.

On Wednesday, December 14, between 9:30 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. at Gate 2 at Yankee Stadium (corner of 164th Street and Jerome Avenue), any fan bringing at least 30 pounds of non-perishable food will receive a voucher good for two (2) complimentary tickets in designated seating areas to select 2017 Yankees regular season home games.*

More information can be found by visiting www.yankees.com/thankyou. Voucher distribution is limited to the first 100,000 pounds of food collected.

Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia will be available to lend a helping hand. He will be made available to media members at approximately 10:30 a.m.

The Yankees, in conjunction with the Bronx clergy, will distribute all food collected to families in need throughout the Bronx. In addition, the Yankees will donate approximately 2,500 food vouchers to the recipients of the collected food items.

To help kick off the Food Drive, the Yankees have already received a committed donation in excess of 90,000 pounds of food from Krasdale Foods.

Fans driving to the Stadium may pull up to Gate 2 to drop off their donation. Rice and bottled water will not be accepted.
