Roberts, A-Gone to take part in Dubai clinic

NATIONAL HARBOR, Md. -- National League Manager of the Year Award winner Dave Roberts and first baseman Adrian Gonzalez will be in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, next week to conduct a baseball clinic for Little Leaguers.

Roberts, Gonzalez and their wives volunteered for the cultural goodwill trip in conjunction with the official Dodgers airline, Emirates Airlines.

Roberts and Gonzalez will conduct a clinic for the 450-member Dubai Little League and throw out the first pitch before a game.

Their four-day visit will include tours of the desert and visits to the Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, and the Mall of the Emirates, which includes an indoor ski slope.

Roberts is currently part of the Dodgers' contingent at the Winter Meetings.
