"A lot of clubs would like to have Chance Sisco. We are glad we have him. I'm not sure he's going to be ready to start the season," Orioles executive vice president of baseball operations Dan Duquette said of the club's second-ranked prospect by MLBPipeline.com. "We have some other depth behind him. I'd like to see us add some veteran depth to the club."

Duquette reiterated on Monday that the Orioles would be willing to offer a two-year deal to a free-agent catcher while they wait on Sisco. The 21-year-old, who bats left-handed, is expected to start the season at Triple-A.
While the O's have had varying amounts of interest in retaining Wieters, it seems for now that they're open to looking at other options.
