O's release '17 Spring Training schedule

The Baltimore Orioles open Spring Training in 2017 on Feb. 24 with a road game against the Detroit Tigers in Lakeland, Fla., the team announced Monday in its Grapefruit League schedule release.

The Orioles return home on Feb. 26 to host the Pittsburgh Pirates at Ed Smith Stadium in Sarasota, Fla., where Baltimore will play preseason games for the eighth consecutive season.

The Orioles will host the Phillies three times, and the Red Sox, Tigers, Twins, Pirates, Rays and Blue Jays two times each over the course of Spring Training. The Yankees will also come to Ed Smith Stadium for one game on Feb. 27.

Baltimore will square off on the road against each team it hosts, while also playing one road game against the Braves.

Baltimore goes head-to-head with the Dominican Republic World Baseball Classic team on March 7 as part of the WBC exhibition schedule.
