LOS ANGELES -- Corey Seager's first hit outside of the first inning this postseason put the Dodgers on the board against Jake Arrieta in a 6-0 win over the Cubs on Tuesday night in Game 3 of the National League Championship Series.
Entering Tuesday, Seager had been 5-for-8 in the first inning this postseason and 0-for-23 in all of his other at-bats. That changed in the third, when he roped a two-out single to right field for a 1-0 Dodgers lead. The hit scored Andrew Toles, who had led off the inning against Arrieta with a single and advanced on Rich Hill's groundout. Toles froze at second base when Chase Utley popped out on the field, bringing up Seager.

Seager was 0-for-8 with runners in scoring position this postseason entering Tuesday after going 0-for-7 in the same situation in last year's playoffs. He finished 3-for-4 on Tuesday with one RBI.
