Bucs, Cards in 8th-inning rain delay at Busch

ST. LOUIS -- Friday's game against the Cardinals and Pirates was halted before the bottom of the eighth as a rainstorm passed through the area. The Cardinals held a 7-0 lead at the time of the delay.

Rain started to fall as Jonathan Broxton breezed through a scoreless top half of the inning. The umpires held both clubs in the dugout as the rain intensified and summoned the grounds crew to cover the field.
