The Miami Marlins today announced their home schedule for the 2017 season. The Marlins home opener will come on April 11 vs. the Atlanta Braves, following a six-game road trip, April 3-9, to open the season. Miami's first homestand of 2017 will run April 11-16, with the Braves (April 11-13) and New York Mets (April 14-16) coming to Marlins Park.
Next season, the Marlins will face off against the American League West during Interleague Play, with the Houston Astros (May 15-17), Los Angeles Angels (May 26-28), who are the only team that hasn't played at Marlins Park, and Oakland A's (June 13-14) playing in Miami. Miami will also renew the Citrus Series against the Tampa Bay Rays from May 1-2.
The 2017 regular season will conclude with a four-game series against the Braves (Sept. 28-Oct. 1). Four of the Marlins five final home series will come against NL East division foes, as the Phillies (Sept. 1-3), Nationals (Sept. 4-6) and Mets (Sept. 18-20) will play in Miami in September.
In addition to a full slate of home games against National League opponents, Miami will also host Major League Baseball's 2017 All-Star Week.
