Meadows among Bucs headed to Fall League

CHICAGO -- The Arizona Fall League rosters were unveiled on Wednesday. The Pirates will send seven prospects to play for the Surprise Saguaros when the season begins Oct. 11.

Pittsburgh's most notable selection is outfielder Austin Meadows, the club's No. 2 prospect and baseball's ninth-best overall, according to MLBPipeline.com.

The Pirates are also sending right-hander Trevor Williams, their No. 27 prospect, and reliever Dovydas Neverauskas, their No. 23 prospect who was recently suspended for the rest of the season. Like Meadows, both pitchers are currently with Triple-A Indianapolis.
