Paxton (#65) is scheduled to be the starting pitcher in tonight's (5:10 pm PT) game at the Chicago White Sox.
Seattle has 10 days to trade, release or outright the contract of LeBlanc to the minors.
Paxton, 27, was placed on the 15-day disabled list on Aug. 16 (retro to Aug. 8) with a left elbow contusion. He made one rehab start with AAA Tacoma on Aug. 20 vs. Las Vegas, striking out 3 in 3.0 scoreless innings.
The left-hander was removed from his last MLB start, August 7 vs. Los Angeles - AL, after being struck near his left elbow by a line drive in the top of the 9th inning.
Paxton is 4-5 with a 3.53 ERA (32 ER, 81.2 IP) with 73 strikeouts and 18 walks in 13 starts with Seattle this season.
