Utley day to day with sore foot

LOS ANGELES -- Dodgers second baseman Chase Utley has been dealing with a sore foot for the last month and is day to day after leaving Tuesday night's 9-5 win over the Giants in the eighth inning.

"Chase, he's been maintaining his foot, so he's taking care of it," manager Dave Roberts said. "That's why we had to get him out of the game. Couldn't stay on his feet any longer."

Utley didn't start, but came in as a pinch-hitter in the sixth inning and singled and scored from first on a double by Andrew Toles. Utley stayed in the game and played second base for an inning before leaving.

He has hit at a .269/.313/.513 clip in the last four weeks.
