PITTSBURGH -- Pirates top prospect Tyler Glasnow is close to returning.

The right-hander, who has been on the disabled list since July 24 with a right shoulder injury, completed a second side session without issues on Friday after throwing a 30-pitch bullpen session on Tuesday.

"He is going to start for our Double-A club, Altoona, Monday night," Pirates manager Clint Hurdle said. "He will go four innings and an anticipated 65 pitches."

At Triple-A Indianapolis this year, Glasnow was outstanding, posting a 1.94 ERA in 18 starts. In two Major League starts, he was 0-1 with a 5.40 ERA.
