Gagne coming off disabled list
NEW YORK -- The Rangers will activate closer Eric Gagne from the disabled list and optioned pitcher Wes Littleton back to Triple-A Oklahoma on Tuesday.
Gagne had been sidelined with a strained right hip. He has appeared in four games with one save and manager Ron Washington is planning to return him to the closer's role. Akinori Otsuka leads the Rangers with four saves.
Littleton, called up last Friday, appeared in just one game for the Rangers.
